sARTorial wearable technology project with DLUX Media Arts for VIVID Festival @ The Connection, Rhodes:

Echevectrics - sARTorial wearable technology project with DLUX Media Arts Lab, Sydney from Jade Boyd on Vimeo.

For this second round of sartorial with DLUX Media Arts, i have teamed up with Fashion Designer Ellie May Locke and Wearable technologies interactive designer Emmett Malesani to create Echevectrics - a wearable technology piece that responds to the electrical activity within a plant (Echeveria) via sensors carefully attached to its leaves. The LED lights on the garment (created by Ellie) change in response to the electrical potential of the plant. This is most noticeable when the leaves are touched, although the colours sometimes change unexpectedly.

The piece showed at The Connection, Rhodes - a part of Vivid Ideas
